I hired NEC for what began has a kitchen remodel. As the project progressed, it expanded to updating and remodeling much of my house, including installing a beautiful new fireplace. Eric and his team were very flexible and never hesitated when I kept adding things for them to do last minute. Throughout the project, the staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. It is easy to become overwhelmed when having to make decisions regarding design, and talking through design options was very helpful. When I got stuck on little things, Eric and his team were able to help me see the big picture. They were always available to answer questions and were there every step of the way. I have gotten so many compliments on my house since they have completed the renovations. The attention to detail was amazing and I now have a home that I feel like could be in a magazine.

I met Eric and the NEC team through a referral of a referral at a point that I had a devastating fire at my house and I consider myself very fortunate to have made the connection. Eric took care of everything from the beginning. Helping not only with the architecting and rebuilding of the house but also he handled the insurance company directly. I would without a doubt go directly to Eric and the NEC team if and when I ever need any design or construction work done again.

We hired NEC to completely remodel our circa 1960 main bathroom. After interviewing several contractors, we selected NEC because we were very impressed with the owner, Eric Rotger. His experience and eye for design along with attention to detail won us over. Eric understood the look we desired and made our vision into a reality. We felt very comfortable hiring NEC for our job after we saw many examples of their work both in pictures and in an actual visit to a recently completed job. They were always a phone call or text away quickly responding to questions or concerns as our project progressed. Our experience with NEC has been fantastic. Eric and his team are extremely engaged, responsive, and professional. We could not have asked for better or more clear and straightforward communication from start to finish. There was never any lag time during our project. Someone was always here working and doing exactly what we were advised they would be doing. Everyone was respectful of our family and of our home. It was very much about what was good and convenient for us. They worked with our schedule and were always willing to be flexible when necessary. Our two bathroom remodels have turned out even better than we imagined. When we were standing in four inches of flooded (toilet) water, it was impossible to imagine our playroom as anything but a disaster. Eric was at our house within hours, taking the lead on a very stressful situation and reassuring us that this special place would be restored. NEC Design / Build North Eastern Contracting exceeded our expectations and provided a service experience of trust, integrity, and the kind of insight that only comes from years of industry knowledge. We have a long list of projects to complete, and we are so happy to have found the best company to take them on.

We did a complete remodel of our bathroom. It was a total tear out and rebuild on the second floor. All the plumbing had to be changed and moved to different locations. The bathroom door was moved and replaced, there were new walls, floors, ceiling, insulation, a beautiful custom vanity and large custom glass shower enclosure. Eric was always very polite and prompt with getting back to us. He was open to our ideas and helpful with his expertise. Eric took us to look for the countertops, and to see the shower glass. Our project took a long time to complete, almost 3 months for the main job with the dumpster being in our driveway the whole time. There was another month for the custom shower glass to be measured, cut and installed and that was an additional out of pocket expense. Eric did have several different people doing different jobs but the main worker was a jack of all trades. He did the majority of the tiling, connecting the plumbing, installing the cabinets. We spent more than we had in our budget. I would suggest that you ask for a written price quote before you start a job. This way you won’t go over your budget. The bathroom does look beautiful but the tiles are not even. I am not sure if it is the tiles or the way they were laid down but you can feel this unevenness under your bare feet. This is why I can only give 4 stars.

Eric and his staff are true professionals! We recently remodeled our kitchen and couldn't be happier. Each and every person associated with the business that we came in contact with was courteous, knowledgeable, and hard working, and Makenzie the office manager is an absolute pleasure to work with! If you are looking for a contractor, look no further - the owner of NEC Design/Build, Eric, is a true professional. He is details-oriented but very friendly and hands on. He quickly replied to our initial inquiry about repairs and was in our home the same day. Unlike other contractors, he remained available until the very end of the project, answered all our queries and addressed all our concerns promptly. Though he had bigger projects, Eric made us feel that the work in our home was equally as important and was very helpful. So if you are looking for quality work with a reputable and responsive owner, give NEC a call! His assistant Makenzie is also very helpful and replies quickly.

Eric, the owner, Dave and Kenny are truly contracting professionals. Eric came over to see what needed to be done and assessed everything in detail which was very impressive, Upon contract signing Dave and Kenny took over readily satisfying every concern we had. They did everything they could to meet our schedule and came through with flying colors. Myself and my husband recommend them highly. Lastly, McKenzie our daily contact at their place of establishment was a pleasure to work with. Would not think twice about hiring them again!

Let me begin by saying 5 stars is not enough for this contractor!!! My husband and I purchased a home to be completely remodeled. Little did we know, we were about to face years of misery from contractors who had no idea what they were doing or simply did not care about their craft. To our surprise we found NEC Contractors. Eric is the absolute BEST. He has given us nothing but comfort and peace of mind in a field where comfort is unheard of. He has worked around the clock to fix the problems in our home. He cares about his clients, and he takes great pride in his work. Eric will make it his mission to find the answer to any problem you are experiencing. He is extremely reliable, and trustworthy. I will end this review as I began and say, 5 stars is not enough for this contractor. They are without a doubt the best in the area!!!

When we set out to work with Eric/NEC we were in the middle of a major renovation and move during the pandemic. We were overseeing nearly a dozen different tradesmen and entering what would be a stressful remodel. However, the team behind NEC made sure the work they did for us (decks and porch) would stay on budget and come out beautifully. Not only did they keep their word, Eric and his team were professional, easy going and responsive the entire time. I truly recommend NEC!

What can I say about Eric and his staff. After years of dealing with this group I can't even begin to tell you about their excellence from top to bottom. Attention to detail is key. Plenty to choose from the inside and out. The options in the showroom to the quality craftsmen in the field and yes the owner is on each job to visit on a daily or regularly scheduled visit. A true build and design company that has the ability to do commercial or residential.

I highly recommend NEC for any work you might want to do for your home. Eric was a real pleasure to work with. He came over and listened to what we wanted done to our kitchen and had some great suggestions as he has had so much experience. His teams showed up exactly when he said they would.
